WHAT IS THEREVIEWZZ.COM ABOUT?
MENTAL HEALTH CARE IS A HUMAN RIGHT. STRUGGLING AND/OR HAVING MENTAL DISEASES DOES NOT MAKE ONE WEAK.
WHO I AM? WHAT IS THIS BLOG ABOUT?
I graduated from Koç University, Department of Psychology. While studying for my undergraduate degree, I completed the Organizational Psychology specialization program. Now, I am in university again for my second undergraduate degree in philosophy and masters degree in psychology.
I am currently working with adolescent and adult clients at Ankara Emin Therapy Center. In my work, I am working with clients who have major depression, anxiety, somatic symptom disorder, psychological trauma and many more. I completed a sexual therapy course in 202. I am still training on EMDR method in the treatment of psychological trauma.
While applying psychotherapy approaches based on evidence and current information, I always try to highlight professional ethical values. I always try to support my clients with the goals of pursuing an egalitarian, non-discriminatory approach to psychotherapy.
In individual therapies, I apply positive psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, short-term solution focused psychotherapy and psychodynamic approaches.
In couple and family therapy practices, I apply Satir’s Transformational Systemic Family Therapy approach, Bowen and Gottman method, which mainly focuses on strengthening emotions and the individual.
MY APPROACH
I believe in a humanistic approach to therapy, in which the client and therapist are collaborative. I think that the main goal of people is self-actualization, as Abraham Maslow said, and I am here to facilitate your move towards growth.
WHY ARE THERE BLOG POSTS?
This website is a step in my psychology education, which I started with the motto “I’d be happy if I could help even just one person like me” when I was in the last days of my major depression episode. School is over, but learning never ends, and knowledge multiplies as it is shared. I would like to share with you the information I have learned and liked here so that I can contribute to the field.
